Smogons tier list is made by people who have played competitive pokemon battles long enough to know the metagame inside and out whereas you probably dont even know what a metagame is. Otherwise the list would be extremely centralized around starters and early game pokémon while everything else would be too crappy to use. The goal of this list is to rank every pokémon in unova in one of the six tiers from s to e each vaguely determining its viability. Lets go pikachu eevee.
